๐ถ Billing, cover & cost estimates
The Department of Interventional Radiology at Cochin Hospital (AP-HP) is a public hospital department. Billing arrangements depend on your situation: insured under the French national health system, uninsured, or an international patient.
๐ซ๐ท Patients insured in France
Interventional radiology procedures are covered by French national health insurance under the usual terms (statutory co-payment, any supplementary health cover). The department charges no extra fees. Please remember to bring your Carte Vitale and your supplementary health cover certificate when you attend.
For any question about the cost of a hospital stay, see the AP-HP page "How much does it cost?" (in French).
๐ Request a cost estimate
Do you live outside France, are you not affiliated with the French national health insurance system, or would you like a financial estimate before treatment? Please submit your request via our contact form, stating the procedure you are considering and your country of residence in the comments field. Our team will prepare a cost estimate once the medical indication has been confirmed.
โน๏ธ A cost estimate requires a confirmed medical indication from the team. For a prior medical opinion, please also use our contact form.
๐ Useful documents to prepare
- A letter from your doctor (indication for the procedure)
- Recent medical reports and imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound)
- Proof of identity and, where applicable, proof of health cover
- For international patients: passport and full contact details
